Ramadhan and Hari Raya Preparation 2017

As I'm typing this, it's just left about 4 days before Hari Raya. So, how's your Ramadhan this year? Hopefully, towards the end of this holy month, our 'performance' is better than first week of Ramadhan. And I think the most important thing is not to overspend as it is indeed something that the devil loves and we should avoid in falling into this habit.

My first 3 weeks of Ramadhan is without my husband as he needs to works outside the country. Even though, he is a frequent traveler, in our 4 years of marriage, this is the first time we welcome Ramadhan separately. Still, I am grateful that we still had the chance to meet Ramadhan again this year. Talk about being a 'single' parent for a month, it is difficult as I am used to cook various and new recipes specially for my husband. But when, I am the only one here, so of course, more to the bazars (haha) rather than home cooked meals. Then, the Raya shopping. I've promised my husband that we will go together to the mall to shop for us and Hanna. The waiting game thought me to be very patient, even I've had bad days. That's how this Ramadhan really different from previous years.

Malacca Vacation 2017

The last time my husband and I went to Malacca was in 2014, when I was 5 months pregnant with Hanna. Since it is quite some time, we decided to go there again this year. This vacation is actually for our 4th anniversary celebration. Our anniversary is on 25th May but this year, Ramadhan had started on the last week of May, hence our advanced trip :)

How To Sell On Carousell For Newbies

There would be one of the days that my aunty (Hanna's babysitter) would said things like this "All of Hanna's clothes cannot fit anymore" or something like this "Hanna don't have anything to wear anymore". And that was in the middle of the month. Gee..seriously? But yes, as a mom I felt guilty and responsible for her to have clothes to wear.

So I was thinking how to raise quick money to buy some clothes for her and not burn a big hole in my pocket. Then I remembered one of my friends made a post on selling her branded kids' clothes on Facebook. Hey, why not? Haha. I quickly opened up the boxes where I kept Hanna's old clothes and sorted those clothes that I think still okay to sell. I posted on Facebook and of course there was quite a number of PM came in. But when I decided to put listings in Carousell, there it was! I made quite a lot from the sales here compared to Facebook. And fast dealing too :) As of today I've listed 27 items on Carousell, and I sold off 11 items (3 of them via private chat with buyer only..hihi) within a week. Quite okay right? :)

How To Enjoy Social Party When You're A Mom

On 9th November, I attended my company's annual dinner. Apparently, it is the annual dinner that everyone is looking for since it's been a few years since the last one. The dinner was at Sunway Resort & Spa in Bandar Sunway and before I forgot to mention, the theme was Ruby. You know the ruby red and ruby stone, yup that kind of theme.

What I wore:
Long red ruby dress - Jesvyn SCM (RM 45)
Satin silk printed shawl - gift from my mom (FOC)
Nude clutch - Bonita (RM 39)
Bracelet & Necklace - Old collection

As a mom, of course there would be the guilty feeling of having good time without your kid(s), in my case without my Hanna. But remember this post ? Now, I know that I need my alone time. But how to enjoy it if I am constantly thinking about my kid. Well, I'm going to share my tips with you guys.

Itinerary Langkawi 2016 - Family with Toddler

My little family went for a long (read: 4D3N) vacation and this time we choose Langkawi. I've been there before and so did my husband. But that was when we were single. So, lots of places and food to be enjoyed and explored as a family for this trip ;) So, how do you plan your trip smoothly especially when your family includes an active toddler? Here is my itinerary for your references.

We took early morning flight (too early), a 7.30 am MAS flight from KLIA. Since it's an early flight, we just drove to KLIA and parked at the long term parking. The rate you can check here. Before we boarded into the plane, my husband made a quick call to alert the rental car that we will be reaching Langkawi about an hour time.  About 8.30 am we already reached Langkawi airport and 9.30 am we are out of the airport. And vacation begins..Yeay!

We drove to Pantai Cenang to get our breakfast. If you drive along that area, there are a lot of stalls where you can enjoy either local or international delicacies. Of course we had the locals; Nasi Lemak Ayam and Soto :) It's just 10.30 am when we are done with our breakfast. So, we strolled around Langkawi (by car of course) playing tourist..hihi. Then, around 11.00 am we went to Bay View Hotel, Kuah for an early check in.

We rested about 3 hours before headed out for late lunch. We decided to try out the
Seashells Restaurant, Laman Padi at Pantai Cenang. The food is good and service was fast. Plus, the price is okay.

We chose Ikan Siakap Deep 3 Rasa Set for 3.
